Annahda Association Structure

The governing body of the association consists of the General Assembly, which includes 73 members, representing charitable civil society organizations, women from well-known families in Ramallah, in addition to prominent figures and active community activists. The association is managed by a Board of Directors consisting of nine members.

Elected every three years, the board plays a vital role in guiding the association’s strategic direction and ensuring its continued impact in serving the community.

Nadia Musleh

President of the Association

Nadia Musleh – President of the Association Nadia Musleh has served as the President of the Administrative Board of Annahda Women’s Association since 2023, following over 11 years of dedicated service as a board member. In addition to her role at Annahda, she is also a board member of the Sareyyet Ramallah and other associations. Known for her philanthropic spirit, Nadia has devoted her time and efforts to supporting the association in every possible way. She has contributed across various departments and played a particularly impactful role in activities geared toward children, reflecting her unwavering commitment to the association’s mission and vision. Her journey exemplifies the values of generosity and dedication.

Daad Jubran

Daad Jebran currently serves as the Vice President of the Annahda Women’s Association. A prominent figure in the association’s history, she has been an integral member since the 1950s. Over the years, Daad has made significant contributions, holding various positions, including Treasurer, and ultimately serving as President of the Administrative Board in 2020. Known for her active community involvement and influential role in nonprofit work, Da’ad has left a lasting impact through her unwavering dedication to advancing the association’s mission and strengthening its presence in the community. She is also an active member of other associations.

Abeer Mashni

Founder of the "Five Candles" company, Abeer Mashni is a passionate community activist with extensive experience in volunteer work. She currently serves as the Coordinator of the "Doctors for Palestine" Association in addition to her role as Treasurer at the Annahda Women’s Association.

Samar Kassis

Samar Kassis is a researcher specializing in gender issues and development, as well as a feminist and community activist dedicated to supporting Palestinian women and youth. She has published numerous works in this field, with a focus on community and volunteer work that benefits various segments of society. Samar currently serves as the Secretary of the Annahda Women’s Association, where she plays an active role in promoting developmental initiatives.

Afaf Shamieh

Afaf Shamieh has been a board member of the Annahda Women’s Association for many years, having served as Treasurer on several administrative boards. She firmly believes in the importance of community partnership and its vital role in the success and sustainability of the association. Her volunteer journey with the Annahda Women’s Association began in 1990 as a member of the General Assembly, where she actively participated in various activities and conferences organized by the association. In 2012, she was elected as a board member and continues to serve with pride and dedication.

Ibtisam Abu Daho

Ibtisam Abu Daho joined the Annahda Women’s Association after a distinguished career in teaching, research, and community service, along with extensive experience in higher education. In 2015, she returned to Palestine and dedicated her efforts to community work. She became an active participant in several local charitable organizations, with the Annahda Women’s Association being one of the prominent ones she contributed to.

Zahida Salameh

Zahida Salameh is a member of the Administrative Board of the Annahda Women’s Association. She has held several prominent positions, including Head of Nutrition at Ramallah Hospital and Director of the Internal Department at the College of Educational Sciences. Zahida is distinguished for her significant contributions to the fields of health, nutrition, and maternal and child support, making her a pioneering figure in this area.

Hanan Khalaf

Hanan Khalaf has been a member of the Administrative Board of the Annahda Women’s Association for over 30 years and is an active community activist. She served on the board for 11 years and has been involved in several other charitable organizations. Hanan believes in equality and equal opportunities for all members of society. She has experience in the fields of health and education and has left a significant mark in community service.

Asmahan Kashou

About

Asmahan Kashou has been a member of the Annahda Women’s Association since 1990. She began her journey in the Embroidery Department before taking on the management of the Hearing and Speech Therapy Center, where she had previously worked as an employee. After her retirement, she continued her community service as a member of the Administrative Board for two consecutive terms. Additionally, Asmahan is a member of the Child Care Association in Ramallah, where she contributes her expertise and leadership to improving the lives of women and children in the community.

George Rantisi

General Manager

About

George Rantisi, General Manager of the Annahda Women's Association, holds a Master's degree in Democracy and Human Rights. He has distinguished academic experience, having worked as a social studies teacher in the Old City of Jerusalem for 8 years, including at Mar Mitri School and the Sisters of Saint Joseph of the Apparition Girls' School. He contributed to the establishment of the Bachelor's program in Special Education at Al-Quds Open University, where he also taught the course "Rights of People with Disabilities." Mr. George Rantisi is a leading activist in this field, dedicating his efforts to advancing the rights of people with disabilities, supporting them in overcoming challenges, and striving to ensure they receive equality and equal opportunities within society.

People with disabilities must have their full right to inclusion, education, healthcare, and community participation without discrimination or barriers. By providing an inclusive and supportive environment, we enable them to reach their full potential and contribute effectively to society, fostering justice and equality for all
